After the hectic 2020 season was over, Tyler Pasher became Houston’s 3rd acquisition of the offseason. The Canadian joined from USL Championship side Indy Eleven. At the time not a lot was known about the young attacker, raising many questions about whether the team had picked out a good asset or not.
Very early on in the 2021 season, that question is being answered with Pasher showcasing his potential in Houston’s preseason matches and then in 2 straight starts to begin the regular season. The Canadian has play all 180 minutes for Tab Ramos so far this season. Even though other players like Boniek Garcia and Memo Rodriguez have been awarded weekly recognition from Major League Soccer, Pasher has been the most exciting player on the field for the Orange squad.
Even during the disappointing loss against Portland on Saturday night, Pasherkept every Dynamo fan on the edge of their seat and every Timber fan needing a fresh manicure after biting their nails for nearly two hours from the havoc he was causing on the wing. Full back Claudio Bravo, who recently signed with the Timbers for a reported fee of $1 million, is still having nightmares from Saturday’s match when time and time again Pasher put him on skates!

Some of y’all love figures, the Argentine bought for a reported 20 times more than the Canadian’s fee could not keep up with him! All of this being said, the question of whether Tyler Pasher’s USL game would translate to Major League Soccer is currently being answered with a resounding “Yes!”. Pasher was recently asked about his fantastic start back in the MLS and replied “I had nothing to lose. I took that momentum and I’m going to continue to carry that momentum throughout the season and moving forward.”
